Our 60" horizontal bandsaw, with more that 7 feet of vertical travel, is one of the largest in the nation. It was originally designed to cut large diameter rolls up to 54". It is predominantly being used for high production sawing of an extensive inventory of forged round bar in a wide range of diameters. In addition to standard sawing applications, this saw has been utilized for unique and specialized projects - sawing aluminum ingots, rolling mill rolls, steel castings, and unusual components. It has proven to be versatile in heavy metal removal, in place of milling or turning and it is unsurpassed in cutting immense cross sections with speed and accuracy. |
A powerful 75 horsepower CNC Leblond lathe, with a 40" swing, features rigidity and accuracy in machining sizable parts. It has a massive hydraulic tail stock utilized to drill large diameter holes. It is retrofitted with a General Numeric control and directly interfaced with a central Hewlett-Packard computer system which eff4ectively generates NC Programs for complex high production jobs as well as standard utility jobs. |
